Reporting to Parents/Sharing information

It is important to us that parents/caregivers to work in partnership with the school so they are fully informed as to how their children are progressing at school. The following approach assists this process:

Learning Journey Conversations: These takes place in Term 1 and 3. In Term 1 students in Year 3-6, with support from their teachers, share the assessment data and set goals with parents. In Year 1 and 2, the students, teachers and the parents co-construct the goals for the rest of the year.

In Term 3 all students lead the Learning Journey Conversation outlining the progress they have made against the goals set in the mid year report. The parents have an opportunity to spend time with their child in the learning space.

Written Report: A written statement of children’s progress is sent home at mid-year (June/July) and the end of the year (December).
